Yoga for Shoulder Health and Mobility - VIRTUAL CLASS

This online class is focused on to bring relief from shoulder tightness, stiffness and bursitis. Bursae are small, fluid filled sacks that help to ensure smooth movement between bones and soft tissue. They are commonly located around the major joints in the body. Shoulder bursitis results from inflammation in the bursae associated with the tendons in the shoulder region.

The rotator cuff is a group of four muscles and their tendons located in and around your shoulder. As the name suggests these muscles help to rotate your arm. They are also involved in raising your arms upwards. Over time, repeatedly raising your arms above your head without healthy shoulder alignment can cause irritation and inflammation in the tendons and bursae associated with the rotator cuff. The soft tissue in this region can potentially become impinged by the bones in the shoulder complex.

Yoga poses that pull the head of the upper arm bone firmly back into the shoulder socket can help to re-create space for the rotator cuff to move more freely. This can help to bring relief for people that are experiencing shoulder pain. 

The yoga sequence will be well suited to anyone wanting to focus on getting relief from shoulder bursitis. It will also be beneficial if you are looking to improve overall shoulder health and mobility.

Yoga Class To Soothe Your Lower Back - VIRTUAL CLASS

This online class features a sequence of poses to help release tight or contracted muscles in the lower back. The sequence is intended to be accessible at times when your back is aching or uncomfortable.

In addition to relieving aches and pains in your lower back this class will also be great for times when you are feeling low in energy. The calming poses that it contains will also help to relieve stress and anxiety.

Yoga For Healthy Knees - VIRTUAL CLASS

Saturday, March 18th

9:30 am (ET)

Cost: $25

Consolidate the basics of knee care, troubleshoot common knee related problems and learn knee-friendly pose modifications. 

​

The online class features poses that will be therapeutic for your knees. Some of the asanas will help to improve mobility, some will strengthen the muscles that support your knees, some will help with injury prevention and others will be beneficial if you are currently practicing with knee problems. 

​

In addition to improving the overall health of your knees this class also provides a balanced general practice that incorporates a variety of poses from the standing and seated asana groups.
